My name is A J Ramsden and this site is the base camp for all my literary ambitions.

I’ve completed the first novel in my two-volume post-cyberpunk series, Mind Fields. It’s a love letter to all the great dystopian writers; Orwell, Huxley, Zamyatin, Rand, PKD, Burgess, Kafka, and so many others. They were the revelators, they saw through shadows and peered behind curtains, sounding alarm bells about the direction society could be headed. The direction society is headed.

I have many plans for this series, including a collection of short stories set in the same timeline. Kevin Winston’s timeline to be exact.

Kevin’s a streetwise looser—with the soul of a so-so poet—who carries an unlikely secret he doesn’t suspect. Not that he’d necessarily care, Kev’s got more important things on his plate. Kev’s got a plan, he’s going to virtfight his way out of his bare existence at the literal bottom of Pburgh. Of course, there’s catch. His in-virt katana skills are next level but that won’t get him free of Downtown. Nor will his improbably awesome avatar, itto Yoshitaka. He needs an edge to smash through the steelCrete ceiling. Maybe a dose of Reality is the fix for this sitch.
